Hello!
This is probably a little bit different critique partner request than most. I've read a couple places recently about having someone critique your SYNOPSIS before writing the whole book to make sure you don't write 250 pages of something that makes no sense, and I think it's a great idea! I've actually already written a first draft, but have some plot holes I'm hoping to fill in revisions, so I've been trying to write out a detailed synopsis to make sure it all fits together correctly this time.
What I'm looking for is someone to exchange these detailed synopses with--to tell whether the overall story works, the character arcs make sense, there aren't any out-of-nowhere events...etc. I don't want to just post in the "Critique my Synopsis" forum, because this is more of a 5-10 page long everything-that-happens synopsis, and so too long for that, but still much less of a commitment than to crit a whole novel. And anyone who has already read some of my MS is too close to it, I think, to really just crit the story, so...
I'm happy to do this for anyone as well--I'm most familiar with (so would probably be able to critique best) the structure of most anything YA, women's fiction, or thriller-type stuff. Pretty unfamiliar with high fantasy, but I'll read anything!
I'll post my query/descriptive paragraph draft below, so you can see what you're getting into. :) It's YA... adventure, I guess. A bit fantasy-ish, but with no fantasy creatures, if that makes sense, so I'm not exactly sure what to call it. Thanks!

16-year-old Avery Hunter thinks she might finally have found her place in the world when she finds out that she has eccentric, wealthy family her mother never told her about. The villa in Paris, the ballgowns, the private jets—and the amazingly attractive young men they call Knights—are all great fun.
But then Avery discovers that these same people who can shut down the Prada store for her own personal shopping day can order the bombing of a nation’s capital and not think twice about it.
This group, the Elite, aren’t just a family. They are a very powerful secret society of twelve families who have secretly ruled the world since time began.
Both horrified by the existence of the Elite and oddly drawn to her impossible new status as one of them, the last thing Avery should be doing is falling for two of their young knights. But Stellan is beautiful, volatile, and makes her feel alive, and sweet, protective Jack’s arms feel like the home she’s never had.
When Avery finally discovers her real place in the Elite as the first girl in their bloodline in centuries, meant to fulfill a prophecy that could plunge the world into World War 3, she wants no part in it. But she doesn’t have a choice. Because both Jack and Stellan have secrets of their own, and suddenly, choosing between them is not just a matter of broken hearts. It could change the course of the world.

I'll bite. I thought your query sounded awesome. I don't have a detailed synopsis, so you don't have to return the favor! :-)
