Maybe this just happens to me, but I collect blog posts and articles on writing, publishing, and books like most people collect, I don't know, dust. And right after I find a great post or article, I immediately experience this need to turn to my neighbor and share this useful link, only of course no one is there and my husband isn't nearly so interested. So I bookmark the link with the intention of sharing it on my blog. Then of course sometimes I forget.
But I can't shake the feeling that these might be useful to someone else who cares. Like me. And maybe like you, too.
And maybe you guys collect these sort of links and wish you had someone sitting next to you that you could share them with too. So I thought I'd start a thread where we could do just that.
For example, today I happened to discover:

Author Maureen Johnson answers: How can one afford to be a writer? -

Author Lauren Oliver recently posted about writing good dialogue:

Author Kiersten White answers reader questions about what actually happens on book tours (Full disclosure, I didn't happen upon this. I was actually the one who asked the question :-) ) -

I'll have to read the suggested links above when I can give them their just due attention.
I have been looking over the Google-Sites Function; for organizing information related to writing processes.
I find it difficult sometimes to collate stuff on a single laptop even though my laptop is quite handy.
Here is a top level site experiment for finished (all public) works that shall receive content from a pyramid of lower private sites that I shall use to push projects to completion. A template that I find very useful as a subsidiary support mechanism is a template they offer for role playing gamers (RPG) under the "games" section of their template offerings. It uses a seven player format in a world building context that might be very useful to the type of writing I do; which tries to balance poetics with story with formulas similar to a well narrated gaming experience. (The next template I shall use three times below the public level. Its the RPG template with with the comic reptile demon and seven player background story boxes)
This is the top level all public site I shall use for finished products.
https://sites.google.com/site/intraphase/home
Below this shall be a three pronged-three sided pyramidal structure terminating at the bottom floor as a fourth final level (discard pit) for discarded ideas that have been superseded by more coherent(polished) versions of themselves in the sites above. Below that top site above I have decided to use three versions of the RPG template.
Here is the site building start page.
I believe they make you sign up for GMail; not sure.
https://sites.google.com/site/sites/sys ... e-new-site
The top site is organized. This subsidiary is in raw form unedited.

Great idea, Sommer! I don't have anything to add - very sad. :( But I'll look around!
