Better Book Titles -- Great for a Friday Laugh

Post by Margo » August 13th, 2010, 12:01 pm

I just discovered this site thanks to a link on the Pimp My Novel page. It renames books to better reflect what they're actually about or how people really feel about them. Made me laugh out loud several times before I'd even finished page 2. The best so far...the better title for the Dictionary.

Ha! A Quaint Mid-Afternoon Panic Attack for Mrs. Dalloway! That is freaking hilarious.

I think MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN might be my favorite. Oh so wrong.

Shallow People Doing Shallow Stuff is great not only for The Devil Wears Prada, but for several other books I could name (and admit I've read).

I love to share a good laugh.

Because of where I was reading through these alternate titles, I was trying not to laugh out loud. The James Joyce made tears run from the corners of my eyes. I actually had to clamp my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing out loud, and I mean loud.

Same here. I was at Starbucks where a student of mine was also working that day, and the place had gotten really crowded while I was in my own little world. When funny things take me by surprise, I tend to guffaw. It was embarrassing.
