I head here, you head there, we all head somewhere....

I was reading through my (now) 8 chapters and noticed that I used the phrase "head to" 16 time in 52 pages of txt. WOW. I feel like it's way to much and I need to come up with something else to use but that just seems to be the phrase that flows out of me.

So when someone is "heading to the kitchen" or "heading to bed" or "heading to work" what do you write?

-maybe more descriptive action words could be used sometimes
meandered into the kitchen, hurried to bed...
- methods of transportation
drove to work, hiked to work, bicycled to work...
- good old synonyms.
going to the kitchen, proceeded to work...

I would strongly advise using the look-up function on word, and taking a serious look at each of your heads. We all have words that we overuse- for me just was the second biggest word in my wordle, and that's just ridiculous.
i hope there was some help there. :)

yes that was helpful. Thank you.

I am going to try to replace most of them and hopefully stop using the phrase all together.
