I can't believe Northern Iowa right now. Even if they lose to State they've proved that they belong and that the win over KU was not a fluke.

Raise your hand if you're sick of Duke.

I think it's a testament of how much I wanted to win my various bracket challenges this year that I have Duke in the Final Four. It's kind of like the end of the Shawshank Redemption.

Indeed. I'm just hoping I end up in Zihuatenejo.

So crazy that Butler is in the Final Four! Pretty gutsy effort against Kansas St.

In the words of Leslie Knope, Kentucky sure made love to the pooch in this game.

Nathan... the dream had to end sometime. I know you wanted that Raptors t-shirt, though.

I think I'm pretty much done. Since, um, I have no more possible points remaining. If Kentucky, Syracuse, Kansas and Villanova are somehow resurrected from the grave, however...

Well, Butler came through for me, but Kentucky totally failed. Dang.

In true March Madness fashion, every year I think it's my year leading into the Elite Eight. And then every year this happens.

I did want that Raptors t-shirt. Next year!!

Whoa! When I saw how badly I had scored in the first round I kind of lost interest. Now I come and look after the final 4 has been decided and see that I am tied at number 6 overall. Too bad I won't move any higher since the only points I can get now are if Duke beats WV...

I don't spend a lot of time in the forums, but I would like to take a moment here to say, What wonderful procrastination opportunities you have created, Nathan! And, Ink, thanks for moderating.

What I'm really here to say, though is

LET'S GO DEVILS!

Haha. No, seriously, I want to thank you also for bringing me back into the warm embrace of my family. You see, my father was an undergrad at Duke. They gave him a scholarship that was his ticket out of a very small town. I was born at Duke. I cut my teeth at Cameron Indoor Stadium. My mother wrote in my baby book that I went to the Duke-UNC game at 2 weeks, slept through most of it, but woke up in time to see Duke win.

Four years ago, I had a conversion experience. It took me another year to muster the courage to come out to my family as a Tarheel.

But I am an ACC girl all the way. Except for Maryland. I hate Maryland. So I picked Duke to win this thing. I'm all over facebook and twitter as a fan, and the fam is showing me such love. It's great. And they don't have to know that, while I do sincerely want Duke to win it all, my real motivation – and the reason why I was willing to be treated like a leper in the downtown Chapel Hill bar last night where I was the o n l y person pulling for the Blue Devils – is that I want my brackets to win.
