I don't think it's too short for "any novel" as someone pointed out. Literary fiction? Maybe - especially since you are new author. But too short for any genre? That's a hard-lined no.

One of my finished books is only 46k (romance) and it's the same one a publisher requested. Romance is a little different, we have everything from super-short novellas 9k to longer novels over 100k.

I think Ink made a very good point about story length, as always.
