The Bookshelf Muse is celebrating their release of The Emotion Thesaurus (OMG NEED) with a Random Acts of Kindness Blitz for writers. They've encouraged everyone to show some love to those who have helped, supported, encouraged, or inspired our writing. And I couldn't think of anywhere better to spread the love than the Bransforums!! You guys are amazing. Seriously. I've learned so much by hanging around here, reading everyone's advice, giving out a little of my own, and getting to know you wonderful people. I don't have any local writer friends, but with you guys I have a worldwide network of them!!
So thank you, Bransforumers, for being awesome writerly folk. (Extra special shout-outs to my IRL friends Sommer, Margo, trixie, Beethovenfan, Nicole R, and Claudie [and sidekick], to washingtonwriter1968, and to my awesome critique partner MattLarkin!!) Thanks, Nathan, for setting up these forums and keeping them running. Thank you everyone who posts, asks, advises, inspires, squees, or otherwise shares their writing journey with the rest of us here. I wouldn't be the same writer without you guys.

Ah, Brenda, thank you.
And right back at you. You have been such a sweet, encouraging presence here at the forums. And you ask great questions. I think you're pretty wonderful, actually.

Aw, Brenda--warm fuzzy! Thanks!
I agree--the Bransforums are like home. I can go out into the big, bad world of blogs and Twitter and get some half-assed comments or ideas, but I know I can come home and get the real deal. I might not always like hearing the cold truth ("What? You mean I have to finish my ms before I can start freaking out over the query process? Fine." *huffpuff*), but I know it comes from reliable people.
I guess I'd call it tough group love. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
