    I love it! I too am having to skirt around the Twilight issue. Who would have thought the recent explosion of Vampire stories would make it so hard to keep our works from being compared to this one story!

My creative process is wonked. I have a list of titles that start as the inspiration and build the stories around them.

Can we trade? Because I have to sit for hours in front of a white board and listing words to find anything that sticks. I currently have Blind Echoes, although not a month ago that was White Echoes. I still really love White Echoes, but the 'white' sent back to an aspect of the novel that was partly dumped. It annoyed the hell out of me to have a title I loved but that no longer fit.

I really like the title of my current project: The Lunatic Fire, which is a reference to the antagonist. Before, it had been tentatively titled A God's Will, which I didn't really like.

For my historical fantasy, which is based off the Iliad, I have it titled In Spite of All the Danger, which is named after one of the first songs recorded by one of my favorite bands.

My other projects have working titles until I can think of something better. For instance, my sci-fi is called The Amari, after one of the races, and my historical sci-fi(?) is called The Stage because the MC is an actress. I know, so creative.

Claudie: I really like White Echoes too!
