I recently queried an agent that used a "form." In the form there was a question asking if I had any means of my own for marketing my novel. The question took me by complete surprise. I didn't know I would have to be doing that! I ended up answering that I couldn't think of any. Needless to say, I received a rejection.
Marketing myself? I know nothing about this subject. I don't even know what I don't know about this. Nathan, any help in this area would be awesome. What kinds of marketing would be available to a complete newbie? Next time I come across this question, I want to be able to say something more than "I can't think of anything."
Thanks in advance.
