If you gave a Kindle to a person 1000 years ago, they'd probably stab you with it and steal your land.

If you gave a Kindle to a person 500 years ago, they'd probably offer you their daughter in trade.

If you gave a Kindle to a person 100 years ago, they'd probably use it as a doorstop.

If you gave a Kindle to someone 40 years ago, they'd read the instruction manual and then use it to help them turn it on and tell them how to use it.

If you gave a Kindle to someone 10 years ago, they'd turn it on without having to be told how and just play with it until they figured out how it worked.

If you give a Kindle to someone yesterday, they'd hack it apart and rebuild it into an iPod case/espresso machine.

If you gave a Kindle to someone today, they'd return it for the refund to pay bills and just download the Kindle app for iPhone for free.

Thanks for the post. I just got an iPhone and in the midst of choosing apps had forgotten about the kindle app. I downloaded it as soon as I finished reading your post (which is a fun read, btw).
