My holiday season just got brighter as Amazon enabled Kindle book gift giving (disclosure: link is to CNET, I work at CNET).
Will you be giving or receiving an e-book this holiday season? I know I will.
You can now give Kindle books as gifts

Re: You can now give Kindle books as gifts
OhDearGodFinally!
Does the recipient get to choose whether to receive on Kindle or other electronic format?
Can you buy today but delay the "sending" until a specific date?
If you add a book to your wish list, can you specify that you want the Kindle edition rather than paperback or hard cover?
Does anyone else find themselves typing "Kindly" instead of Kindle all the time?
So many questions!
Thanks, Nathan. Off to explore...and update my wish list.

Re: You can now give Kindle books as gifts
This brings out two things.
I bought you an eBook, but I readed it. (It needs a cat macro, stat!)
and
At least when people buy you books with the sole intention of being to read it themselves, it won't be all crinkly\they could have already done it.
Now pardon me, I've had a migrane shot. I'm a little fuzzy.

This totally rocks.
Not just for me to give, but to get them.
I got these odd flat shaped things for my birthday. I gradually recognized them as something we called 'books'. Heavy items with a cover and paper in them. Took awhile for me to remember how to use this old technology. You have to carry them around, and open them. Weird.
E-books for me for the holidays!

Is it weird I'd be kind of sad getting an e-book because there wouldn't be anything to unwrap?
May the word counts be ever in your favor. http://www.sommerleigh.com

I love my kindle. I look forward to Decision Points, American Assassin, and The Confession, as gifts this year.
