Hi Nathan,
I am turning to you because I'm not sure who else to ask. I think I remember reading a post about this somewhere but I can't find it.
How do you know which agent to pick? What if five respond positively? (I know, I know, an embarrassment of riches - is this normal??)
I'm a little overwhelmed and I have no idea how to pick. I am not there yet, I mean, so far all they have asked for the is the complete manuscript, but then what?
Any tips?
Thank you,
Rena
So once I find an agent (or three!!!) how do I pick one?

I think you have to go with your gut and with the person you feel most comfortable with. Which one most shares your vision for the story, which one strikes you as the most enthusiastic, which one do you click with? Which one do you feel you can communicate with? It's an important working relationship and the interpersonal dynamic is an important one. I'd weigh that with their experience. Once you factor all that in you'll probably have a favorite.
