Lol. Great video, Robin! Very funny and totally on target.

I also love how comfortable she is in her body. You go, girl! :)

Sommer - I like that too. Who is this person? She seems cool.....and like she might be a writer. :)

I have to say in Robin's video, I was really impressed by the rhyming. How she worked Les Miserables in there, I'll never know. :)

Love that one Sommer!

Mira, she is a writer named Jackson Pearce. Her book Sisters Red is a great read.

She is a writer! Her name is Jackson Pearce, her blog is here: http://www.jackson-pearce.com/

She writes YA. Her first book is As You Wish, which I love a lot. It's about a girl whose wish to "belong" ends up with her being given a Jinn, a genie without the magic lamp sort of deal. He gives her three wishes, but she's not in a big hurry to use them. He, on the other hand, ages while he is in our world and is supposed to push her to use them quickly. She ends up treating him more like a friend, which she was in desperate need of in the first place, and he ends up enjoying himself in a teenage world. It has a sort of Death takes a holiday feel to it. And there's some pretty cute romance. It's a great book.

Her second book is Sisters Red, a twist on the Little Red Riding Hood story where Little Red is actually a pair of sisters who are bad ass and hunt and kill wolves. And the wolves in question are kind of like horrifying werewolves who embody the strangers you are told never to talk to or take candy from when you're little. It is a great modernization of the classic fairy tale. I love the sisters, they are both strong and vulnerable in different ways, and while there is one romantic subplot for one of them, the real love story is the bond between the sisters and the trouble with having to grow up means having to go your own path. (Also the cover is really cool)

Jackson does a live streaming event with readers every Wednesday that I enjoy watching.

Cool - thanks. Now, see? Here's social networking in action. I might have found a new writer to read. :) I'll check out her books!
