Novel writer? Or screenplay writer?

Post by adtabb » July 3rd, 2010, 4:35 pm

I began my writing, simply by writing.

The more I have reviewed my writing, the more I realize it is in outline form, and leads much to be guessed at by the audience. I realize that many of the emotions must be seen, and cannot be easily described in words.

A few months ago, a friend on a now crashed writer's board was discussing a NANO for screenwriters. I looked at it a bit, just to see, not having the time to focus on it then. While my writing is missing many elements of screenwriting, the length of my first completed piece is close to the correct length (within a few pages).

Does anyone know any good resources to re-look at this idea? I would like to know if someone who writes screenplays thinks this item might be better so, and if so, I would have a lot to learn to re-organize it into that pattern.

You should write for the NANO; it's the future...

Read one of the best stories by Borges.
