eBook price point survey

Post by Rik » April 8th, 2010, 6:24 am

A quick question, if folks (and Nathan) don't mind.

How much would you be willing to pay for the following sorts of eBook:
a. a new eBook by an author you know and love?
b. an eBook by an unknown author, if recommended by friends/reviewers?
c. an eBook by an unknown author, if you come across a sample of their writing and like it?

Also, what's more important for buying an eBook:
- knowing the author's work already?
- a recommendation from a trusted source?
- being able to check out a sample of the book for free?
- pretty cover image?

The background to my questions can be found in the latest post on my blog ...
To Posterity - the latest chapbook of poems from Rik Roots ($free)
