Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!!! I got a request for a full on Monday! It's a great agency and is a testament to putting some research into your agents before querying. The agent in question represents mostly YA, but by reading her blog, I discovered that she was interested in historicals as well.
So now I am waiting to hear back. She said to expect at least 60 days. It's a little nerve wracking but I'm taking it in stride. At least that is what I'm telling myself... If she passes, I'm just hoping for some feedback!
Congrats to all of you have been signed or are releasing e-books! Hopefully I will be joining the ranks of the signed soon...

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
I just received a letter from a Spanish publisher who would like to acquire the Spanish translation rights of my Crystal Shade trilogy. I'm surprised because the release of the first volume is still months away. But every progress is a progress, right? So here we go with an almost silent squeee!!!

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
Squeeeeee! And my space traveling little angel is back on Earth.
The final statistics of my winged lady's space traveling art (See below); her adventuring spirit has spent 28 days, 12 hours, 7 minutes and 19 seconds in space, took an exciting journey of 11,795,083 miles and made 448 orbits around Earth on two subsequent shuttle missions, Endeavour STS-134 and Atlantis STS-135.
Space Angel Achievements
Endeavour STS-134 - 1st Commemorative Flight Certificate of a Guardian Angel
Atlantis STS-135 - 2nd Commemorative Flight Certificate of a Guardian Angel
So whatever will happen with her soon-to-be-released novel in the future (Let's hope the bests), my beloved little winged lady is already made fantasy angel history. And Gracie's space adventures are far from over as once again, she will go where no fantasy angel has ever gone before.

Wow, Cheekychook, a quick write, quick sale, quick publication.
Don't tell us there's whirlwind romance and quickies in the book, too.
Congrats!

Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread
Okay, I've mentioned this before, but I had to wait until all the official paperwork was settled before I could truly SQUEE about it.
As of today fellow Bransforumer KarenBB and I have both signed the contracts on our co-written novel!
For those of you who don't know, KarenBB and I met right here on these forums a year and a half ago. We became critique partners (we were both in the final editing stages of our women's fiction novels) and quickly became good friends. We finished our books at the same time, embarked on the query process at the same time, and have stayed critique partners for every project since. Last January we traveled to NYC to meet in person and attended the Writers Digest Conference together. This past May we decided to do something we'd been talking about since we met---co-write something. We cranked out a short novel together in the span of a month, each of us writing every other chapter. We polished it, edited it and got feedback from a lovely Bransforum member, then we sent it off to e-publishers. We received three offers of publication and decided to accept the one from Ellora's Cave (working with the same editor who I worked with for my recently released novella(.
Our novel, Long-Distance Lovers, will be released by Ellora's Cave in a few months.
Thanks Nathan, for running this forum and giving "the Karens" a place to meet!
