Would any potential damage be done by taking one's name off of an already-published Kindle novel and replacing it with a pseudonym?

Well, this is just my opinion, but I think you could replace your name without any issue. I can't see a downside. I'd probably just do it soon, because you never know when your book can suddenly catch someone's attention, and then you'll be stuck with the name.

Good luck!

I don't see why it would be a problem to change your name, but why would you really want to? Are you simply afraid of not looking good if your next work doesn't sell up to your expectations? Because of the amount of marketing and self-promotion necessary to have self-publishing success, wouldn't it be easier to use your real persona and all of the sincerety that goes along with that? Think about social media - a lot more work to creat a whole new person and build up their network from scratch.
