Hello!
Basic question, which I couldn't find in a search of the forums or the blog: Once I have published something on my blog -- i.e., given it away for free in the public domain -- can I submit it for publication elsewhere? Are there any copyright issues at play here, or is it just down to whether or not a publisher/editor wants to take something that has previously been available on the internet?

Publishing something online does not give away your rights to it or make it public domain (unless you explicitly released it into the public domain).

That said, many magazines won't except previously published, and being available online does count.
