In your opinion, is it acceptable to compare your book to another book in the back cover summary? ie: "The story, reminiscent of blankety blank, is...."

Whoops, sorry! Misread it. I think it's okay to compare as in "will appeal to fans of blankety and blankety" as long as it doesn't seem as if you have the other author's endorsement.
