I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're getting a LOT of traffic. It gets you a few cents per click, and can often put off viewers because people generally don't like ads. If your blog really blows up and you're getting several thousand hits a day, it might be worth it. Otherwise I probably wouldn't bother. More trouble than it's worth.

You might read the post Nathan did recently where he was considering this type of thing. Alot of people really disliked ads on blogs - felt they were intrusive or distracting or irritating.
It's an interesting discussion - you might look it up.
