Nathan Bransford - The Forums

Since most of us can't go to Nathan's real launch party, and since we absolutely love a good (or any) reason to party here on the forums, I'm officially throwing the Forum Launch Party for Jacob Wonderbar and the Cosmic Space Kapow!

True story - I almost didn't have a book picture to post because this afternoon a storm of apocalyptic proportions showed up and brought down a tempest that ravaged trees, poured rain and hail and threatened tornadoes.

All the while my very pathetic looking, very cardboard Amazon package sat unprotected on my front porch throughout the event. When I picked up my package the cardboard very literally fell apart in my fingers leaving me with a mess of paper pulp that might have been advertisements for something?, a sopping packing slip, and a book.

I suspect the book must come with a protection shield powered by an imaginarium fission reactor because the book was completely dry. There are no other explanations for why it survived when all the other random paper items in the box perished- shields must have been at max power.

Congratulations Nathan! I wasn't expecting the artwork inside the book, so it was a fun surprise! I personally think more books should be illustrated. These are really wonderful.

You're so awesome Sommer, Nathan certainly deserves nothing short of all out success. I won't be picking up my copies until this afternoon, but I'll try to post some pictures when I can.

My son begged me to get it yesterday. He's had a countdown going since I let him watch the trailer. I had nightmares last night that I forgot to get it.

He loves anything that has to do with space, so I've got to hunt down a few copies today. (this is him at NASA)

First, the cupcakes and cakes are great! I SO want one. Robyn! Your son is adorable. And Sommer, there's Space Camp for Adults. I told myself I'd go as a masters graduation present to myself but I haven't done it yet. We should have a Brandsforum party at Space Camp. HOW. COOL. :)

But really, this is all just confetti on top of the awesomesauce cake that is Nathan. Congrats on your release day, Nathan! Sorry I can't be there in person, but I'm hoping to pick up my copy over the weekend!!
