Queries: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Nanowrimo

Happy Thanksgiving, Nathan. I hope you enjoy the queryless holiday this year.
Here’s the annual question about queries and the holidays.
Thanksgiving and Christmas: I’ve read it’s not a good idea to query from turkey to turkey. You said somewhere that agents want to spend time with their families, and human nature being what it is, might be tempted to mow through their inboxes.
Nanowrimo: Nanos write their novels in November and query in December? Edit in December and query in January?
Question: Is it better to totally, completely skip December and start in query in mid-January?
