If an agent has read your first three chapters and asks you to please send "the remainder" of the novel, should you send a file starting from Chapter Four or the entire thing?

If you do send the whole thing, and you've recently added 5 new pages to the beginning (that you believe is a better beginning), should you send the old version the agent read or the newer one?

No, send the whole thing (i.e. starting with the beginning). I'd send the newer version and let the agent know you made a few changes.
