A Short Love Story

I love visual storytelling just as much as I love written storytelling, and I'm constantly looking for artists that inspire me. (I even have a weekly blog post dedicated to things that inspire me! I collect a lot of inspirations.)
I recently stumbled across an artist/animator named Carlos Lascano who really took my breath away, particularly his animation called A Short Love Story. I wanted to share him with everyone who might enjoy a little artistic inspiration.

His animations are posted on Vimeo and I'm not sure I can embed them here, so I'll just post a link to the vimeo video, and below is a youtube version of the same animation. It's not as clean as the vimeo, a little pixelation here and there, but it's fine if you want to watch it here without clicking on a link. He has other animations as well, including an awesome Popsicle commercial that reminds me of the 80s and early 90s commercials directed at kids. There's an experiment in photographic animation called Inspiration that captures the writing process pretty accurately too.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
