Take a vacation to the mountains.
My husband and I rented a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN this weekend and right now, I'm watching the sunset over the valley and just feel so refreshed. Seriously, EVERY writer should do this. *sigh*
I have so many ideas flowing and I think it's because you feel like you are totally away from everything, kwim?

Sounds lovely! :) Glad you had fun and got to do it finally!! :D I plan on taking a weekend for relaxing and brainstorming this summer, but not sure where...

I took a couple days vacation to go to my father's funeral. Now *that* was re-inspiring.
Anything that jogs you out of your normal routine can help get the creative juices flowing again.

I'm sorry to hear about your father...I'm sure that definitely puts a new perspective on life.

Wow. I must say, sitting here in Chicago, with sirens blaring outside my window, I'm quite envious. Hope you had a great time.
