Question about sending "first 5 pages"

Hi!
I'm wondering about how to send an agent the first 5 pages in an email... I know Nathan said formatting doesn't matter since it's an email, so that's not what I'm asking about. I'm wondering if I should double space in the word document before I paste (so I would really be sending the first 2.5 pages) or leave it single spaced so it's really 5 pages long. Does that make sense?
I just wouldn't want to send someone too much or too little when they're expecting "5" pages! :)
Thanks for your help!

Sometimes individual agents will specify, but my experience is that double-spacing is required in standard manuscript formatting, so the "first five" (or however many) should be double-spaced.

That makes sense, thank you! I saw one agency that requests 20 pages so I was worried about accidentally sending them 40...

Yeah, I'd keep it double-spaced, but I don't think this would be a deal-breaker with most agents either way.
