My goodness, I leave for a day, because I have a class, and what happens? It's a warzone between the coffee and tea drinkers. You fantasy writers are a rough and ready crowd.

Well, as the fantasy reader I have been instructed I must earn my keep and bring refreshments. I was scratching my head wondering how I was going to satisfy even the most discerning fantasy author pallettes. Then, I remembered it was fantasy, and it all became clear.

Here is what I've brought for you lovely fantasy writers, whose books I will so enjoy (hurry up and get published, please.)

To drink:

(No coffee or tea. Please. Give me alittle credit.) You may choose amidst:

Elixir of Youth
Milk of human kindness
Pure water from the hidden spring of the mist

Because, really, we can't have fantasy food without it, can we?

I write horror, and read mostly classics, both in horror and other more mainstream classics. I do also read some modern horror and other genres. I try to read a little of just about everything, but horror is always my main love.

I write YA fantasy/romance/dystopian (what a mouthful!).

It's not as fantasy-ish as other books out there, so I would really hesitate to call it fantasy. However, it has all sorts of "traditional" magical creatures, so I feel like I have to slap it with that tag. I mean, if a book contains a unicorn, magic, merpeople, and giants...I'm fairly certain it's fantasy.

My book centers around two "worlds" (in the Narnia sort of fashion, not time-travel and such), so that's where the dystopian comes in. My futuristic Earth is dystopian, and the other world is a magical medieval sort of place, so that's where you get the fantasy/dystopian split.

The romance isn't exactly key to the plot, but there is simply SO much of it that it's now rather integral. It's so present within the novel that I feel like I have to label it with romance or else irritated romance-haters would feel rather cheated, I suppose.

I've become curious about how many genres are represented by those in participating in this Forum. So how about this: Enter your genre and title of MS here. I'll total them all up after we have a few hundred entrees and post the results.
Why should I you may ask? I have no idea... Call it market research? It may even help those looking for Beta readers to find a match.
