OH my god me too! The spoon is my favorite part! Can Watcher and I help? I'll even bring my own spoon.
Dibbs on the bowl.
We will clearly be very helpful in your kitchen, Cheekychook.

You guys are cracking me up. I'm afraid you'll have to fight my kids, husband, and some pretty persistent local friends to get spoon or bowl rights in my house---but you can give it a shot!

Even funnier, to me, is that there's a scene in my novel that involves a baking bowl/spoon---it's among my favorite scenes as it's an early moment between my two main characters and it's full of innocent sexual tension and melted chocolate. What's not to like? My favorite line from the scene is when, after "cleaning out" the bowl, Daniel points out Marienne's window, toward his house, with the now-chocolate-free spoon and says "Well, I live right there and I'm available for all sorts of baking bowl emergencies."

Guess that's a realistic line of dialogue considering the response I got to that one pic!

I don't want to brag or anything, but the UPS man just brought me a huge box of cheekychook's cookies and I'm sorry to say that everybody is missing out, big time. Now I have to decide whether to share these with the kids and my hubby. Maybe she'll post some of these recipes on her blog...

Yeah, you really bowled people over, Cheekychook. (ha)

But you know what this means, right? You're in charge of refreshments for the forum Holiday Party. (haha)

I love being in charge of refreshments. Takes care of my control issues and my obsession with food all at once. ;)

So I'm pulling Christmas decorations outta the attic and I get a visit from the ghost of Christmas Past.

I started as a special ed "life skills" teacher. We started a cottage industry and made these one year and sold them for $20 a pop. The class of 20 cleared $1000 profit so each kid got $50.

Awh, that is awesome!

I just thought I'd share, sice I brought up A Christmas Story earlier, one of our students at school saw the movie a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be a good idea to "triple dog dare" a girl to stick her tongue to the flag poll.

It was in the 20's. Yeah....lol

Here is another thing I love about this time of year: naughty cats who climb Christmas trees and yet are so freaking adorable I can do nothing but grab my camera phone and start snapping pictures while she curls up on the branches and preens.

My snowy cat, Lola -
