The Calling by David Mack. So far it's okay. A little weird and not so flowy, but since I eat books it's alright. XD The side characters are a little flat but the main is nice. There is a little bit of cliche in it...

Glad Charles Portis is getting some love. Check out NORWOOD and THE DOG OF THE SOUTH if you liked TRUE GRIT.

Currently reading SLOUCHING TOWARDS KALAMAZOO, by Peter De Vries. Funny book about a perverted 8th grader named Anthony Thrasher who gets his tutor pregnant.

I'm diving into The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio. Wish me luck. It has a prologue and an introduction.

But there's also a story, right? Are there any books with prologues, introductions, afterwards and acknowledgements but no story?

I'm about to crack William Gibson's Count Zero.

One hundred stories, actually. But before I get to those I have to wade through twenty-three pages of set-up. And that's AFTER skipping the one hundred or so pages of preface and introduction by the translator.

It's for research though. Must. Get. Through. It.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, this one is for the first time. The other two are rereads, not to mention finals are next week. Wish me luck!

I'm now reading The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. I like it so far -- kinda reminds me of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell...

I think The Book of Lost Things is amazing! How is Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell? I keep thinking I should read it, but have been putting it off.
