I had to rip out a favorite chapter last night so today I'm reworking it into a preface. Not sure how I'm going to do it.

Oh, and the weather man says there's a slight chance of flurries on Saturday. Snow on Christmas. That's unusual around here.

Good morning friends of the early morning variety. What I want to know is, who is bringing me some coffee, because I can't think of a thing I want to do less than hike over to the next building where the starbucks stand is located at my hospital. Ten dollars and my complete devotion to whomever delivers me a latte. White chocolate mocha and I'm yours forever.

You got to work without coffee? Are you mental? Priorities only work if you put them order. I'd like to help but I'm afraid $10 would only get me into Arkansas <shudder>.

I know I was running late this morning *sad face* I was up very late defending the world from dragons and darkspawn.

I guess I have no choice if you will not bring me coffee. I must go get it myself. If I don't return, well, it was a good run.

Also, I bought myself these cute little iPod speakers for my desk that have a light show of colored lights as the music plays, only the colored lights only come on if the volume is up obnoxiously loud. So I have a choice to make - either I forgo the lightshow, or I make it so my coworkers attempt a coup and run me through before the day is over. I'm torn.

Pad the speaker cones with something to muffle the sound.

The speakers are the part that light up. Covering them would hide the lightshow! Foiled!

Good morning forum kids!

I have coffee this morning and am a much happier Sommer.

Does everyone have their christmas stuff done? I have not wrapped a thing. Or baked. I can't believe christmas is only a few days away. Is it me or is time moving faster these days? Is it a conspiracy? I think so. I am pretty sure it was just Halloween last week.

Yeah, right. Christmas stuff done - It's not New Year's Eve yet. I gotta get the house ready today, but other than that, I'm not too far behind.

It is a conspiracy. The overlords of the eleventh dimension are preparing for a pre-emptive strike. Halloween was last week and T'giving is only hours away.

I give up. I submitted and was sent to the "preview" window because there was posting before mine so I submitted again only to find that I was the one who posted.

It's not that I'm not in the Christmas spirit, but I kind of want to just order pizza and go see the new TRON movie for Christmas. I'm not feeling the big Christmas family dinner thing this year.

Also I want to make a million cake balls this week. Oh and someone just dropped off a plate of christmas cookies near my desk. I'm going to be in a sugar coma by 4pm.

I know the feeling. I'm a grouch not a Scrooge but since I broke one of the commandments for happy writers and quit my day job, I've been living like a hermit. The excitement generator doesn't get a lot of fuel when you work alone.

Cake balls? Those sound delicious. I'm not done with my Christmas stuff either. I haven't wrapped anything yet, and my truffles are sitting in my fridge half done, screaming for me to finish them (or eat them — whatever comes first)!
I at least bought some coffee last night so I could enjoy it this morning while I procrastinate.

I has the PLAGUE.

This has been the worst day of my life.

I can't tell you how desperately I want to be able to go to work tomorrow and whine about expensive lattes and party on the forum.
