Well, I went ahead and started one. But I'm not sure if it counts, since I just post short stories related to my work. They feature characters from my novels, and serve as a sort of introduction to each character's personality. Again, not sure if it counts as a true "blog," as its main purpose is to get people interested in my work.

Also, since today was my first post and I was kind of unsure of how everything worked, I simply took a somewhat familiar theme and put a new spin to it as a way to develop the focal character.
