Holiday reading suggestions.

Post by BransfordGroupie » December 9th, 2009, 11:35 pm

Does anyone have any recommendations for older YA supernatural/paranormal suspense romance books I might enjoy when I am taking a break from writing? Ummm should I mention I have already read the Twilight series? Oh and no zombies please.

I enjoyed HUSH HUSH by Becca Fitzpatrick. No zombies - it's angels.

On the darker side, you could try Garth Nix's The Arborhsen Trilogy..it's not exactly paranormal, but it's YA darker fantasy with necromancers.

Thanks Mira. That's ok, I prefer the darker side. Added Arborhsen to my lookie list :)

Cool - another series with angels is Sharon Shinn's Archangels series. That's pretty heavy on the romance, not dark, but not impossibly light either. :)

Have fun reading. :)

I'm actually buying Hush, Hush tomorrow. I've heard it's great - and one of my critique partners who read it just suggested I use it as a comparison in my query (although my book doesn't have angels in it).
