2013 NaNoWriMo

Post by klbritt » August 26th, 2013, 11:56 pm

Hey everyone! I've been MIA from the boards for months it feels like - I've been lurking  Anyway, I was looking at the calendar and realizing that Nano is only 2 months away. I was wondering who's planning on participating this year. How are you preparing, are you preparing? Post your Nano page and get some more writing buddies!!

Too tied up this year with other projects. NanoWriMo Next Year? I don't know. Novels in progress regardless.

Yes, planning to participate.

Have an outline already prepared.

Last year was my first and it went well.

Yes I am but I don't know what I'm doing yet. I usually participate in some fashion every year, though I don't always start a brand new project.

I'll be participating :-) I haven't done much preparing though other than some low level attempts at research for my potential project: a novel adaptation of a graphical work. It would be a project as a gift to someone versus something that will be aimed at publication, but I have enough works in the queue for editing that I can do a little break and I think it would be a fun change of pace :-)

I'll be participating in some capacity, likely a 20,000 word goal on my current project rather than starting something new. I can't afford to stop everything and do NaNo, but I would definitely like to give as much effort as I can!

Well yes actually I’m doing NaNo this year and pretty excited about it, my first and only NaNo was in 2010 and it wasn’t till days ago that I finished that novel, which was my first by the way, I’m happy and proud, but this year I’m aiming at winning and currently outlining my WIP a Dystopian/fantasy. I even have a Pinterest board for both my WIP and NaNoWriMo, now you know how thrilled I am, I just can’t wait.
But the book is going to be challenging and I still don’t know how to organize it, I have a huge cast so…better find a way to make it work.

I'm back for more NaNoWriMo this year, as always. :) This is the sixth time I do it and I don't intend to stop. I usually use it to either try out news ideas or push through rewrites. I'm not sure which it'll be this year! I do have this cool new idea planned out and waiting to be written. On the other hand, last year I almost finished a WIP during November and it's in need of major rewrites (with an outline this time)

Either way, I'll be there! Might not hang on the forums every day, as I ML for my region and it just keeps growing, but the NaNo hype is slowly creeping back into me!
