Re: Contructing a Fantasy Super writing group
OK, so I'm wondering if it's too late for me join this most awesome of awesome group of groups? Sorry, I don't come over to this side of the forums very often. If it's too late I totally understand, but if you still have room I'd love to be a part of it all. Here's my address:

Hey BeethovenFan (you shall hereforth be known as BF)
Err...largely not too much of an issue for me, I think I can probably squeeze in another critique during the week, but obviously It'll depend on if the other guys have the time as well. My only problem would be if there's a real genre schism, mainly because I read a lot of SF/F so I know the tropes and expectations of the genre pretty well. If I were to try and critique a romance novel I'd be next to useless. Are you planning on offering up a fantasy novel?

Tis a fantasy indeed! But... it's got romance too. It's sort of Harry Potter meets Jane Austen. Kind of. Ish.Hillsy wrote:Hey BeethovenFan (you shall hereforth be known as BF)

Anyway, if there's room. Totally understand.

It's fine by me
Re: Contructing a Fantasy Super writing group
I'm cool with it. I'm still in the middle of moving and taking care of psycho car stuff, but I should be in the Black Hills (my end destination) on Saturday and then things will be a bit more like normal.

Why do I always disappear when all the good stuff happens? Yeesh.
Re: Contructing a Fantasy Super writing group
Well depending on what the others think you could join in now. I personally don't have a major issue as long as the genre's don't clash to badly....
Re: Contructing a Fantasy Super writing group
It might get rough if we have too many more people join, but I can totally vouch for Cookie.

Well I'm thinking a group of 5 at 1000 a week would probably be the upper limit for me - obviously this is a democracy though...=0)
Re: Contructing a Fantasy Super writing group
I agree, 5 is good, absolutely no more than 6. That's already a lot of critiquing.Hillsy wrote:Well I'm thinking a group of 5 at 1000 a week would probably be the upper limit for me - obviously this is a democracy though...=0)

I agree as well. I'm well as it is and one more (only) will still be great

Fair do's then...
...so Unless Sheila has any major reservations we can pretty much agree to welcome you on board...=0)
And agree on no more unless someone drops out.

As much as I would love to join, I really don't have the time. But thanks!
