Getting the word out for what I got.

Post by Starchaser3000 » February 17th, 2012, 7:01 pm

I have just recently self published my debut first volume novel that is basically a parody/spoof of the fiction/fantasy genre. I have already received positive reviews for it. My question is where are other websites or forums that I have not been to yet where I can blog or discuss about what I have published to people that might be interested in buying/reading it?

LOL! You and I both. To put it in a nutshell, I am in the process of writing the anti Game of Thrones fantasy series. So far I have learned there is hardly anybody doing fiction/fantasy spoofs anymore. I guess it just means I got the market cornered if there was a market I mean haha.

A few ideas: I think I might go to fantasy/sci fi writer forums. I'd start by googling various keywords until I found one. Then I'd start networking and asking them how they get the word out.

I might also check out the Dungeons and Dragons site - I think it links to alot of forums and blogs.

congratulations! Your book sounds like fun. :)

Good luck!
