Google+

Post by Nathan Bransford » July 17th, 2011, 4:59 pm

Have you tried Google+ yet? I was fortunate enough to get an invite on launch day, and I immediately enjoyed it a lot. I was curious though whether and how quickly it would catch on. Now all of a sudden virtually everyone I know is on it!

You can find me here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/117319896746731581831/posts

What do you think of it? Think you're going to switch away from Facebook?

I got an invitation some time ago, but haven't had the time to properly explore it, which leads me to believe I might not have the time to properly utilize it.

I haven't gotten into it too much yet, but I like what I've seen so far. I loathe Facebook, and Google+ seems to have all the stuff I like about Facebook without all the annoying stuff I hate. I will be keeping a keen eye on their privacy decisions, since that was a big turn off for me from FB. I look forward to seeing what happens.

What I really need, really really really need, is a one stop shop where we can monitor all our social networking sites at one place. I want a page where I can read my feed reader, my Twitter account, my Google+ account etc etc. I would like Santa to bring me that for Christmas.
May the word counts be ever in your favor. http://www.sommerleigh.com

I like it so far. The ability to have different circles seems promising. I like how notifications show up on my Gmail and Google Reader pages.

I was never a heavy Facebook user, though, so I'm probably less attuned to the potential downsides...

Haven't been invited yet, and they're still 'testing' so I can't sign up. But I'd like to try it and see what I think.

I'm enjoying it a lot so far, but I'm definitely still feeling it out. Like Sommer, I want to watch the privacy stuff and see how that goes. I do really like the idea of Circles, though. They integrated some of the usability of Twitter with the "feel" of Facebook.

To an email address I got from your blog. I can send it somewhere else, if needed. It has to be sent via email, though.

Ok, I tried sending it again. Maybe it only works if you've set up a Google account?
