Yay, Beethovenfan! We'd love to have you! And no one will believe for a moment that you're not clever. You're a Bransforumer.

Beethovenfan, I absolutely understand the bubbling-beneath-the-surface fear. I have no idea anything about Pokemon or Fallout Las Vegas, but I'm hoping they'll let me hang with them anyway. :)

I'm glad you're coming!

I'm pretty sure this is going to be epic. Dammit... I just gave myself goosebumps again. I do it all the time when I think about this trip!

Good choice ;)

Trixie, don't worry, Claudie and I will teach you. Or, if you don't want to play, you can root for one of us, since it will be so EPIC.

She meant root for me. You know you should be rooting for me. :D (but yeah, we can teach you. That game was built for kids, after all. I can't be that hard!)
Not sure if I am good for anything in the planning department, but if you have a spot that needs to be filled I'll do my best! :) I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone, but already the intimidation is setting in. When I read your posts you all seem so much more clever than I, and I am sure that cleverness transposes over into your writing as well. I hope mine can measure up! But still, I can't wait! :D
Don't worry, I get that too. I read everyone else and don't see what I can possibly add to the conversation, because everyone here is so brilliant and I'm such a beginner! But everyone here is 100% helpful, too, and I don't expect that to change IRL.

Dang it! Missed this post. Sorry guys, I've been trying to get this first draft down by July 1st, so I haven't been very active here.

But COUNT ME IN! It would be awesome to meet you and hang out. Vegas sounds great.

It's not so much about leaping as it is about money.

Would you be able to save, if that's the case?

...even if I could save, I have other things to save it for like bills and the fear of being unemployed... :|

I will be PMing those people who said they'd like to be on the committee to put this all together. I'll probably send those out this weekend.

Put me down as a Maybe!

I'll be in my Master's program, so I don't know if I'll be able to get away, but I would LOVE to!!! I've never been to vegas!

Oh boy, oh boy, VEGAS.

I love Vegas. I like gorgeous hotels. I like buffets of food that go on for miles. I like "free" drinks that you really pay for because you have to tip the waitress. I like the complete absence of clocks and the hidden cameras and all the lights and flashes and sounds of the slot machines. I like to sit down at a gambling table with sunglasses on and pretend I'm a cool grown-up. What is not to like about Vegas?

I want to beat Nathan at poker. For a copy of his second book in advance of printing. That's right, Nathan, the challenge is on. If I win, I get to read Jacob Wonderbar for President. If you win.....I don't.

Fair stakes.

I love Vegas!!

Another reason I shouldn't go. Everytime money is involved I tend to win things. I once put money on something I thought was pretty on a roulette wheel and I ended up tripling it. Because I thought it was pretty and had no idea what I was doing. Mind you, if I understand what I'm doing, it doesn't work.

Which is why I would have to play Poker with someone who understands it. I usually have no clue what I'm doing, and end up with "all these interesting people and no matches".

"This isn't Gin Rummy, you idiot, and that's a flush."

"Ohhhh..."
