NFL Sunday Celebrate or Commiserate here.

Post by rose » December 20th, 2009, 3:01 pm

The nail biter game of the day for me is the Jets Atlanta game, which is underway now.

Third quarter Jets 7 Atlanta 3

Dare I hope that the Jets won't find a way to lose this one???

rose, hyperventilating here.

And the answer to that question, as the Falcons just went ahead 10:3 with a little over one minute remaining is no. But, fool that I am hope beats on....

my Bucs won, thereby losing their draft position.

glad for the win, and frustrated that after a full season of ineptness they decide to play well and blow their shot at the #1 pick...

some good games today though.

I'm a Colts fan, so I am disconsolate at Jim Caldwell's decision to throw the game to the Jets. That was pathetic. They are wrong to think we would crucify him if a player got injured because he played to win. Most of us fans right now cared more about trying for a perfect season than for winning another Super Bowl. Super Bowls come and go each year. Sure, they are tough to win, but the Colts have recently done it. Compared to winning a SB, going perfect for the season is a MUCh bigger accomplishment, and one us Colts fans really hoped to go for.

Tzarlaran, I feel for you. That first round draft choice would have at least been some compensation for a lousy season.

Like the head coach, Rex Ryan, I thought the Jets season was over after that last game in December. But thanks to the way the games fell out and the generosity of your head coach, Knight_tour, our hopes are still alive. I really thought the Bengals were going to roll over for us, too, since they were already in the playoffs, but they didn't. We earned last night's shut out. And with luck, we'll do the same thing to them again this coming Saturday.

Good luck to you,. Knight...at least until or if we next meet on the gridiron.

was a strange year. lots of really bad teams.

Whole AFC looks pretty tough, should be some great games in that conference.

NFC could be a real Jekyll and Hyde scenario, those teams are either brilliant or lose to the Bucs. :S (i mean, what were Green Bay and New Orleans doing losing to this team? i can understand the Seahawks losing to the Bucs, that was just Tampa exercising the demons of '76, but how GB or NO could i just don't know...)

The only thing left for me to really watch for is the Bucco Bruce curse. GB and NO should be disqualified from winning a Super Bowl. (no team that has ever lost to the Bucs has won the Super Bowl...)

Good luck to those in the tournament!

Well, the Jets/Bengals game is closer than the last one at least. But what's going on with Palmer? So many overthrows. Oh, man...and the kicker just missed another FG. Good thing I don't care about the outcome of this game very much.

SHAYNE! WHYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm not even a huge bengals fan (but i live with people who are), and that game yesterday crushed me.

before yesterday, carson had only been in one playoff game. correction: one QUARTER of one playoff game. yet mark sanchez proved himself the better QB yesterday...

i think they just gave up.

go colts.

go cards.

I just want a good game this weekend. One good game. Is that too much to ask for? They've all been sooo lopsided.

Yep, Lisa. I've lost interest by halftime of all four games. Oh well. Maybe the Pack can stage a miracle comeback ... ;)

Well, one Miracle Comeback later...this has been pretty exciting!

I don't even care who wins. I care NEXT week, when my Chargers play!
