Can I sell my own ebook on my own website?

This has probably already been addressed, and if so, my apologies! But, I was wondering — say I wanted to publish my book as an ebook. Would I be able to sell the ebook off my own website?
Or, are the only ways to sell ebooks through other sellers like Amazon, Borders, etc.?

Hi Ann,

It depends on the agreements you have with other distributors, but there's no reason you wouldn't be able to as long as you had some mechanism to get the e-book to people and accept payment.
