Quick round-up of my experience at the Surrey International Writers Conference this weekend. Feel free to comment on the blog or PM me here if you have specific questions about the conference, ease of travel to/from, etc. I'd be happy to answer. The SiWC has a lot to offer for novice and intermediate writers alike.

I actually have two posts today:

1) Zombies Zombies Zombies! http://sommerleigh.com/?p=1446

2) My first "Say What?" Wednesday. A new word or phrase you’ve never heard of or don’t understand, used by teens and explained here for those of us who can’t keep up with the times. http://sommerleigh.com/?p=1430
May the word counts be ever in your favor. http://www.sommerleigh.com

The whole 'what did you want to be when you grew up' thing, and all about writing being a hobby and not a job. I always said as I kid that I was going to be a writer when I grew up. But I can be a writer even though it's not my job! Because if it was, I would hardly make any money.

I think this is a great idea.

I blogged recently about why I love Sephora. I'm such a girl sometimes.

This isn't actually on my blog, but it is a Halloweeny flash fiction story, QQQE style:
