Hi. I write novels with a strong romantic theme and a happy (or at least, satisfying) ending.
Currently I’m working on two contemporary (meaning “could be happening in current times”) guy-meets-girl stories set in the American West. Cowboys or horses are mentioned, but no cattle get rustled and nobody gets shot.
One of the stories is about 40,000 words, where Novella meets Novel length. It features a songwriter, a singer, and their daughter. It contains some sexual references, some objectionable language, brief nudity and some prayer.
The other story is 130,000 words. (It wasn’t a goal, it’s just turning out that way! Yeah, stuff happens.) This one includes explicit sexual activity and frequent use of coarse language.
If you would be interested in critiquing either of these, please reply and indicate which one. Also please describe what you're writing.
I thought we could begin by exchanging first chapters, make comments, and see how it goes.
Thanks,
PeytonR.
