Justin Beiber Writing a Memoir... oh, he's 16 yrs old

Post by Robin » August 2nd, 2010, 3:14 pm

C'mon people... How can a 16 yr old possibly write a memoir? This is laughable. Is the publishing industry so hard up it will push anything?? Anything??

Oh goodness, color me cynical, Robin but I think that book will sell like.....uh oh. I forgot the similie. Wildfire? Wild Crackers? Why do I think it's crackers? Hot cakes? I forgot the similie. Shoot.

Anyway, the book will sell. And for the nine year old girls who buy it, Justin will seem very old and wise, as he chronicles his extremely normal life and pheomenal rise to stardom.

I hope he throws in something about his inevitable tumble and how he resisted turning to a wildly self-destructive lifestyle to compensate when the industry tossed him aside at such a young age like so much old baggage. Instead, he was able to live well and prosper once his 15 minutes ran out. Because I hope that for him.

Age doesn't quite matter so much. There are probably sixteen year olds out there who could write an infinitely more interesting memoir than any eighty year old.

Him, specifically, is clearly just to milk his present popularity.

But hey, whatever floats their boat. It'll sell like hot cakes and in four years or so no one will ever remember the lad.

He should milk it for all it's worth while he still can. That kid is already a quarter of the way through the transformation from adorable moppet to weird-lookin' dude. Do you think that nose he's got will work on the face of an adult man? He's at the top of the big hill on the rollercoaster, and when he gets to the bottom, he's Haley Joel Osment.

I'll ghost write it. It would be very exciting. First, he goes to Europe to shoot Lions. He can't find any Lions in Europe so he shoots at pictures of them in the Luv (misspelled) and goes to jail. In the Paris jail, he contracts Malaria. Then there's a heart-breaking scene where his girlfriend breaks up with him because she just a meanie and not good enough for him, while he lies dying of Malaria in his bed under the Eiffel Tower. With his last dying breath, he strums his guitar, and the power of music miraculously cures him of Malaria. Unfortunately, he also contracted leprosy. Equally fortunately, his guitar heals him of that, too. He considers the possibility that he has been called to a life of music, and decides "what the hey, I'll give it a go." He then goes on to mega-stardom, while his ex-girlfriend learns her lesson and enters a convent as a nun. He's now looking for a new girlfriend. The book will end asking it's readers if they know of any good girlfriends for poor Justin, who is all alone.

It will sell TRILLIONS.

It's not a memoir. Beiber clarified that it's a photo diary thing of the leadup to his tour.
