Much better, Asweibe. Like Notw, I think more on Vicesteeds and why Valinda visits a clinic might be helpful. I took 'vicesteed' to suggest some kind of illicit sexual performer and I doubt I am alone in that.

'...and plunges forward into an unfamiliar Victorian world.' I would cut the word 'forward'.

I take it 'Buckingham Planet' is the name of the Victorian theme park, and not literally a planet?

Also like Notw, I wonder how and why Rosemary is the only witness to the 'Viceride-gone-wrong', not to mention how the workhouse poor fuel the artificial intelligences.
