Practice for when you're famous: I want to interview you!

Post by February » June 17th, 2010, 3:46 pm

I want to interview one unpublished/unagented writer a week and post it online.

Everybody's interviewing agents and published authors on their blogs- I want to interview the folks like myself, who are still trying to get noticed. I want to show the world some of the people beneath the masses populating the slushpile.

Here's the link if you're interested.

I'd love to be interviewed. Sound totally fun.

What a great idea, February.

Thanks Mira! Stop by next Thursday and leave a comment to answer the question and you just might be!

I have my interview subjects for this week (two for the first and only time!) and hope to post their interviews over the weekend.

A couple folks sent in their answers after the cut off time so I hope they'll try again next week cause their replies were great.

Eventually I'm sure I'll work through everybody who wants to do it! I love thinking up individual questions for each person- very fun for me and I can't wait to read their answers.

What is it, a contest to be interviewed? A race to answer questions?

It's going to be a weekly segment. I post a question on Thursday- the person whose answer I find the most intriguing will be sent eight personalized questions to answer with a ninth bonus one I plan to ask everyone I interview, and then I'll post their interview on the blog to try to spotlight their talent and unique personality.

On blogs these days everybody is interviewing published writers and agents and all. I want to show off the uniqueness of the fine, dedicated folks who populate the slushpile.

Hey February. Well, that sounds suspiciously like work, so I think I'll abstain for now.

Love that you're interviewing us regular folks. Great idea! :)

I try to make it fun- but hey, I understand. Work is..work and...stuff.

The first interview is up, you might enjoy reading it to see my interview style so you know if you want to take a shot at it later.

Hope to see a bunch of you stopping by on Thursday.

February,
These are great!!
Please post every time there's a new one.
The fact that you care about writers who are still unborn is really cool and touching.

Yeah, I really enjoy these interviews, and I am glad Bru is doing them (though I know they are a lot of work!). I loved doing mine!
