My Brain is going to explode!

Post by charity_bradford » May 20th, 2010, 8:35 pm

I've avoided all the forums for almost a month to revise my WIP. I'm on page 275 out of 295. My brain is mush, I'm wandering the web. Reading up on the industry is not good for me right now.

Please, send me somewhere fun so I can laugh and regain my balance! (I've been killing people, subjecting my MC to horrible torture, and saving the world. Now that my MC is in a healing coma, I would like to do the same before editing the ending.)

Thanks!

Sounds like you should get off the computer and watch tons of idiotic tv shows and movies. Reading really bad romance novels helps too... (like the thin Harlequin novels)

congrats on getting this far!

Try looking up "Foamy the Squirrel" if you like a twisted sense of humor and "I Can Has Cheeseburger" if you like animals (especially cats). I especially recommend Foamy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I watched 3 episodes of Angel today on Netflix instead of revising. Brain feels better. :)

I know what you mean. I have three more weeks of school this year, which means finals, term papers, etc. Heating up, heating up.

I hit a wall yesterday, I just couldn't make myself do anything. So, I felt guilty, but I played video games and watched episodes of Glee.

But it was good - I was productive at work today - got tons done - and now, I feel ready to tackle my term paper when I get home.

Rest is such a nice thing. :)

I'm glad you took time off, too!

They say write even when you don't feel like it, but they also say take a break. I love this subjective career I've chosen. Basically, our futures are in our hands. Work like crazy...take a break...work like crazy...live some life...

Gotta love it! Good luck on your exams.

Thanks! :)

Yes, I agree. There's a difference between writing when you don't feel like it vs. being tired, burned-out or over-loaded. I know I write the best when I'm rested and centered.

I'm glad you're taking time for yourself, too.
