Borders survives!!
Really big news in the book business as Borders lives to sell books another day: http://www.reuters.com/article/idCNN311 ... 331?rpc=44

Yay indeed, although I'm still bummed that they closed the store that was walking distance from my apartment. There's a B&N a couple blocks away, but it's never been as attractive to me for some reason.

Can I be really happy without actually ever having been inside a Borders?

Great news! It's the closest bookstore to me and the place is always busy. It amazed me that they were in trouble.

Good news to hear on a sad day for me...the last day of my local bookstore (B&N). I went up there today and gave it one last look...rumor has it's being turned into a Walgreen.

PTL- My critique group will be so excited when we meet tonight at Borders. Now we don't have to find a new meeting place.
