Re: Another Request for a Full MS!!!! (Different Story too)

I had forgotten about a different story I queried about a month ago. Well, it seems the editor (yes, the editor of a publishing house - not an agent) wants to see the full MS. I was shocked to say the least. Something I wasn't expecting and after my very late night, then day, and another night with a very sick horse, it was nice to get that message in my inbox.

When it comes time for querying, I am making sure you critique mine. Clearly you are a god. Congrats.

So, yeah...it came. The rejection.

You can read about how it made me feel on my blog:

Well, at least I have one more out. I'll cross my fingers and see how that one goes.

Perhaps it is the build-up that makes the rejection worse. With a query, we expect the rejection because it was written so quickly, but the manuscript definitely is more personal.

Nevertheless, it is only one. I believe that you will succeed with another JD, because you are a writer and you put your heart and commitment into your work.

Best of luck =)

Now, don't you get all depressed, will you? You have accomplished what so few authors ever do. AND you did it TWICE! You have to realize that with this record, it has to happen for you.
When I started writing, I made a mobile to hang in my writing nook. The dangling bits read: 'Gone With the Wind' 31 rejects. 'One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest' 13 rejects. 'Steven King wallpapered a wall with rejects.' etc. etc .
