Am I too late?

Post by polsmurphy » December 24th, 2009, 2:35 pm

I pitched a novel at RWA national conf. I meant to polish it up and send it when I got home. But a head injury and sevear personal issues made it so I didn't get to it for months. So I finally have the first three chapters edited, but not completely polished. Is it too late to send it?

I would recommend erring on the side of polished than timeliness. We're used to hearing from people many months after conferences, and I would much rather have a submission that's as perfect as possible than one that was rushed to get it to me as soon as possible.
