Full Manuscript, Hard Copy

Post by KappaP » April 14th, 2010, 6:04 am

Should I spiral bind this baby or send it with only a binder clip? Is there protocol for that? I haven't come across any in my searching of the interwebs, but I don't want to do it wrong. I feel a little iffy about only binder clipping since it's a ton of pages, but am not sure if agents tend not to like it bound. Thoughts?

I seem to remember a few agencies specifically saying they don't like to see any kind of binding on their partials or fulls. Curtis Brown UK mentions this on their website:
>> Three chapters of the work on A4 paper, in double-spaced type on one side of the sheet only (do not bind or staple your work and remember to print your name and a contact number/email address on the cover of your manuscript).
That is for their initial chapters, though; their full procedure may be different. Maybe check out a few different agency sites and see what they say.
