Does having a baby count as Squee Good News? If so, I had a baby girl 2 weeks ago!!! I'm still so stoked that it's a girl! I honestly thought I was having another boy :D

So, Chloe Isabelle has brightened our lives and completed our family (unless I forget how painful her birth was and decide to add one more) :D

And in other news, the agent I really, REALLY want has my partial as the result of a competition I entered. I wish I could freeze time before a potential rejection comes, because life is pretty damn good right now! :P

@maybe genius -- re: seeing your lawyer friends post my law school video -- thanks, that is awesome to hear. It's without a doubt the most exciting thing that's happened in my writing career. I just hope it's not the *peak* of my writing career.

Thanks, guys! I'm hoping my good luck carries through with this partial (and that my new baby daughter works out the difference between night and day so that I can get SOME sleep!). :D

Congratulations!

Also, I've heard that babies who don't sleep a lot turn out smarter... so that can cheer you up when you're stumbling around sleep-deprived.

Partial good news...
The mini series script of my beloved, infamous WIP, Crystal Shade has landed in the hand of a decision maker of a major movie studio.

And the bad news comes with it...
This mini series is the sequel of my novel trilogy what for I don't have an agent or a publisher. This wasn't in the plans. The novel should be the first and the mini series should be the second...

Congrats to all, particularly Jaime re both partial request and complete baby.

Guardian, sequels first, original trilogy later, isn't that how a certain Mr. Lucas did it?

True. But the Lucas "twist" can't be done with this series by some reason.

Haha! Thanks! I hope you're right. It's amazing how voluntary sleep deprivation (i.e. writing until 3am every morning) is so much easier to deal with than nursing an infant at all hours of the morning, especially considering nursing requires no brain power . . . or perhaps therein lies the problem . . . :P

LOL! Thanks, J. T. SHEA! I'm pretty stoked with both :D

Still no word on the internship.

BUT

I did get a new job today! The place I've been working was no longer working. Literally. In the past few weeks I've gone from having 16-18 hours in a week to none. I work tomorrow, miracle of miracles, and I get to tell them it's the last time they'll see me as an employee. I have orientation for the new job on Sunday morning. Yay for being wanted!
